Harnessing Himalayan Sunshine

Balind Solar Synergy collaborated with Om CA Store, a key commercial facility in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, to install a 110kW rooftop solar system that supports their operations with sustainable energy. Designed to withstand the region’s challenging weather, including heavy snowfall and high winds, this project required precision and speed to meet the client’s operational needs. Leveraging our in-house fabrication unit and PAN-India warehouse network, we completed the installation in a record 15 days, aligning with Himachal Pradesh’s push for renewable energy under initiatives like the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgaar Start-Up Yojana.
The RCC rooftop, engineered for durability and snow load resistance, now hosts high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels that generate approximately 148,000 kWh annually. This output reduces Om CA Store’s electricity costs by 38% and cuts CO₂ emissions by 111 tons per year, contributing to Himachal’s sustainable development goals (). Our advanced sprinkler washing system ensures maintenance-free operation, keeping panels clean despite Shimla’s dusty and snowy conditions. This project not only enhances the store’s operational efficiency but also positions it as a model for commercial sustainability in the Himalayan region.
